What is filler dirt?
Filler dirt is another name for fill dirt, the subsoil and underlying parent material used to fill holes, raise grade or build up low ground. It holds little organic matter, because decaying organics leave voids that cause settling. Fill can include sand, clay and small rocks, and some grades are engineered for structural use.
