What is a soil management plan?
A soil management plan sets out how a project will excavate, stockpile, test, reuse or dispose of soil, usually where contamination is known or suspected. Florida DEP guidance, for example, covers stockpile areas, erosion and dust controls, sampling and off-site disposal records. State agencies and local permits decide when one is required.
